People
Any discussion of
capabilities has to begin with our people. At Bennett Die and Tool we are very
fortunate to have a group of talented, hard-working people who are fully
committed to the company as well as to providing our customers with the highest
quality product available. We are immensely proud of our people!
CNC Vertical and
Horizontal
We have a vast array
of vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with high-speed spindles,
super-speed controllers, and high-pressure coolant. Most of our vertical
machining centers are 4 & 5 axis capable. All of our machining centers have
custom designed quick-change fixture plates. Our vertical machining centers are
from Haas, Feeler, Matsuura, and Hyundai.
Turning
Our high-performance
turning centers include numerous high-productivity options including tool presetters, parts catchers, chip augers, tailstocks, and
automatic bar feeders
all of which allow for unattended operation. Our turning capacity
is up to 16″ diameter. Our turning centers are from Haas and Hyundai.
Assembly
We have a very well
equipped and skilled assembly department. From installing precision threaded
inserts to complete assemblies or sub-assemblies, we have the skill and
experience to handle your assembly needs. Our assembly department includes
clean, well-organized and lighted individual assembly stations. Approximately
30% of the projects we receive include some sort of assembly.
EDM Wire
Cutting
Wire EDM machining
opens up a whole new world of possibilities for cutting and machining parts.
With EDM wire cutting we prove the most precise parts with the tightest
tolerances available today. We use EDM and conventional machining processes to
produce the exact component you need as efficiently as possible.
Metrology
Metrology is the
science of measurement. From the Brown & Sharpe CMMs to the skilled people
programming and operating the sophisticated equipment, our inspection lab is
second to none. As an ISO-9001 compliant company we are committed to a
carefully planned, process approach to quality assurance.
Software
We have multiple
seats of MasterCAM and ESPRIT multi-axis CAM
software. ESPRITs seamless CAD to CAM interface directly imports any native
part model from any source, fully intact, with no need for programmers to edit
or rebuild geometry. ESPRIT directly machines from any combination of geometries solids,
surfaces, wireframe, or STL
We have multiple
seats of SolidWorks 3D CAD software. SolidWorks gives us powerful functionality
that automates tasks, streamlines workflow, and helps us quickly define and
validate the form, fit, and function of our designs.
Surface
Finishing
The vast majority of
parts that we supply require a surface treatment. Some of the most common
surface treatments that we provide include; bead blasting, vibratory finishing,
Chem film per MIL-DTL-5541, Anodize, Hardcoat
Anodize, Nickel, Tin, Tin-Lead, CARC Paint, Prime per MIL-P-23377, Paint per
MIL-C-22750, Black Oxide, Copper, Zinc, Passivation, Cadmium, IVD Aluminum. We
are well positioned with local vendors to fulfill finishing needs.
General
Manual Machining and Prototyping
We have all the
equipment necessary to build tooling and parts from scratch. Were a custom
machine shop this means that no matter
the variety of parts or the quantity you require, whether its 1 or 1000, we can
handle the job.
